ISC and its partners organised the 9th edition of the Science Summit around the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA78) on 12-29 September 2023.
The role and contribution of science to attaining the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be the central theme of the Summit. The objective is to develop and launch science collaborations to demonstrate global science mechanisms and activities to support the attainment of the UN SDGs, Agenda 2030 and Local2030. The meeting will also prepare input for the United Nations Summit of the Future, which will take place during UNGA79 beginning on 12 September 2024.

Holds a degree in Art Education from the Federal University of Santa Maria (1993), a master's degree in Education from the Federal University of Santa Maria (1998) and a PhD inEducation from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2004) Professor of the effective staff of UFSM since 2005. Has held the positions of Director in the Department of Regional Actions - DEARE - SECIS / MINISTRY OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION - MCTI; was an advisor to the Minister's Office ; and General Coordinator of Innovation and Certification of the Secretariat of Professional and Technological Education of the Ministry of Education - SETEC / MEC. Is currently assigned to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation where she serves as  Director of the Department of Social Technology, Solidarity Economy and Assistive Technology of the Secretariat of Science and Technology for Social Development (SEDES).
