ISC and its partners organised the 9th edition of the Science Summit around the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA78) on 12-29 September 2023.
The role and contribution of science to attaining the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be the central theme of the Summit. The objective is to develop and launch science collaborations to demonstrate global science mechanisms and activities to support the attainment of the UN SDGs, Agenda 2030 and Local2030. The meeting will also prepare input for the United Nations Summit of the Future, which will take place during UNGA79 beginning on 12 September 2024.

Wolfram Research
Ambassador

I'm Dashel Myers, a rising junior at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in the Bronx. For years, I have pushed for sustainable development and educational initiatives via programmatic solutions. Some of my recent work has been in computational mathematics, where I co-authored a math textbook on Pre-Algebra through Mathematica. In addition to my role as the Ambassador for Wolfram Research, I am also on the advisory council of the National STEM Honor Society where I spearhead website SEO efforts. In my entrepreneurial pursuits, I developed an AI company that combines the capabilities of a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system with natural language processing. As I look to the future, my research endeavors will focus on exploring partial differential equations and i-numbers in near-field electromagnetism.

Politically, I have worked with various New York-based campaigns, assuming different roles from relational organizing to phone banking. Within these campaigns, my goal has been to advance the cause of climate-focused candidates. Over the past two years, I collaborated with a team from NYU to establish an Organizing Resource Library (ORL). This invaluable resource hub serves as a platform for disenfranchised communities and mutual aid workers, enabling them to access essential tools to drive social change.

Through a paradigm shift toward intergenerational synergy, I hope to revolutionize our approach to the climate crisis.
