Business Executive Director
Ana Euler is a SPA author and is the Business Executive Director of Embrapa. She is former Head of the Forest Institute of Amapá in the Brazilian Amazon (2011-2014) and reseracher on natural resources management at Embrapa Amapá since 2008. She is a Forest Engineer with 25 years of experience in the Amazon leading several projects and the implementation of public policies related protected areas, technical assistance & forest-based production chains. In her position at Embrapa she is responsible for promoting Embrapa's insertion in a research, innovation & competitive environment aligned with government guidelines, enabling decision-making at the strategic, tactical and operational levels; ensuring alignment. Bioeconomy is included among Embrapa's eight megatrends for the coming years. Ms. Euler also worked as project manager in Burkina Faso, under the Brazil-Africa Platform. Besides Forest Engineering, she has a Master’s degree in Remote Sensing and Mapping of Tropical Forests, a PhD in Forest Ecology, both from the National University of Yokohama, Japan and a post-doc in innovation, traditional agricultural systems and biodiversity governance as visiting researcher with Cirad and IRD, France.
