ISC and its partners organised the 9th edition of the Science Summit around the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA78) on 12-29 September 2023.
The role and contribution of science to attaining the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be the central theme of the Summit. The objective is to develop and launch science collaborations to demonstrate global science mechanisms and activities to support the attainment of the UN SDGs, Agenda 2030 and Local2030. The meeting will also prepare input for the United Nations Summit of the Future, which will take place during UNGA79 beginning on 12 September 2024.

Introduction of the Americas Competitiveness Exchange (ACE) - The Premier Economic, Innovation, and Entrepreneurial network of the Americas as a powerful vehicle to create and accelerate trade, investment, and inclusive economic growth.
Description:
ACE is one of the leading high–level events of the Organization of American States that is coordinated with the Government of the United States via the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Department of Commerce. ACE engages with innovation hubs, advanced technology centers, leading firms, and educational and research institutions to explore local, regional, urban, and rural economic development models, share experiences and knowledge, build networks to enhance competitiveness in the Americas and beyond, promote sustainable and inclusive economic development, and increase trade and investment opportunities. This panel will explore how you can engage with the ACE network, have your country bid to an ACE, the upcoming ACE in Panama, and how ACE can become a catalyst for economic opportunity.
