The logistics operations in urban areas has evolved since the final consumer has increased their needs and requiermets for the consumption. More and smaller vehicles required for deliveries, the use of logistics infraestructure is diverse (hubs, microhubs, night deliveries, etc), creating significant impacts on the life quality specially in urban areas. The challenge is now that companies adapt their logistic operation to improve mobility, air quality, and reduce logistic costs.
In this session we will present the results of the implementation of innovative solutions for decarbonization of the logistics operations from the government, multilateral, and, research center perspective. We will have the participation of the Colombian Ministry of Transportation, ICLEI and LOGYCA.
Then we will have a panel were we are going to discuss the main challengues, opportunities and recomendations for the implementation of decarbonization strategies in urban areas
