This panel will discuss the challenges, requirements, and potential path forward for global digital cooperation on health, with a particular focus on the impact on/for lower and middle income (LMIC) countries. It will include representation from high, middle, and lower income countries and will explore the diplomatic, regulatory, economic, social, and climate impacts of global digital cooperation on health for LMICs. We will emphasize those challenges in the context of the Secretary-General’s Roadmap for Digital Cooperation, which focuses on how the international community can capitalize on the opportunities presented by digital technologies while addressing their challenges. We will also discuss the potential impact and security considerations of data sharing for global health.
