Sandy Martinez is the Founder and CEO of Strive Studio Career Coaching & Consulting to support women of color and professionals to thrive in their careers and assist organizations on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, organizational culture, and staff success initiatives. Sandy is also a Web3 advisor who has worked with global brands like Jarritos enter this innovative ecosystem and is the WebTr3s al Aire radio show host dedicated to informing and educating the Spanish speaking community about the Web3 and NFT industry. In addition, she was recently appointed as Director of International Communications for Maya Spirits, who utilizes blockchain technology and art to shape a better future for the Calakmul jungle community in Mexico through social equality and climate justice. As an education advocate and experienced higher education leader, she believes in education as a powerful tool to empower others. She is a community builder, Hispanic & Latino advocate, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker to inspire others with her powerful story as an immigrant from Zacatecas, Mexico living in the United States. Her “why” is connecting others with opportunities to make a difference in their lives. Sandy is also passionate about empowering women serving as an engaged Board Member of Young & Empowered Women’s Association and United Latinas elevating women across the nation and beyond. Her recognition and accomplishments includes being the 50th president for the Arizona State University (ASU) Chicano Latino Faculty and Staff Association, serving as Chair for the ASU Tempe Campus Commission on the Status of Women, being named a 2019 Badass Woman of ASU, being featured in Shoutout Arizona Magazine, being featured in Times Square for NFT NYC 2023, and leading the Women of Web3 Initiative to co-lead a panel at the United Nations 78th Science Summit to address existing gender inequalities and create an inclusive, diverse environment that enables women to thrive in the digital landscape.
As a proud Sun Devil, Sandy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Communication, a minor in Business, and a Master’s in Higher and Postsecondary Education with a focus on university administration. When she is not engaged in professional pursuits or volunteer commitments, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, yoga, cooking, CrossFit, learning more about Web3, and rooting for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
