Ana Maria Costa is an agronomist engineer who graduated from the University of Brasília (UnB). She specializes in Molecular Biology (UnB), a master's degree in Genomic Sciences and Biotechnology from the Catholic University of Brasília, and a Ph.D. in Molecular Pathology (UnB). She is a researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa). Coordinator of the Passitec Technological Development network for the Functional and Medicinal Use of Cerrado Plant Species. She is the Executive Secretary of the Regional DF of the Brazilian Society of Food Science and Technology (SBCTA-DF). She coordinates the Strategic Relationship WG of the Embrapa ODS Network. She received the following awards: Celso Furtado for Regional Development (2017), National for Embrapa teams - Technical Quality (2011), Brazil for Engineering - Honorable Mention - Sustainable Agriculture and Biotechnology (2011), and others.
